Sleat - the Garden of Skye - is the most southerly Peninsula of Skye and offers something for everybody. With easy access to the Skye Bridge as well as the ferry to mainland Scotland, from Armadale to Mallaig, Sleat is easily accessible and a place to spend time in and enjoy. There are beautiful gardens at the Clan Donald Centre together with the Museum of the Isles, explaining about the history of Sleat and the Clan MacDonald. There are several Castle ruins such as Knock Castle, overlooking the Sound of Sleat and out towards the mainland. Also Dunsgaith Castle in the West of the Peninsula, offering dramatic scenery but also lovely walks and a step back in time.
